Tender Management - Contract Packages

Contract Packages are maintained through their various ‘Stages’ in the Contract Packages screen.

There is not a separate screen specifically for Tender Packages. The Contract Packages screen manages the Package through the life cycle of its Stages, which can be when it is first identified (e.g. Tender Preliminary), or perhaps you need to setup an existing Package as part of historical data entry that has already been awarded on a Project (e.g. Tender Awarded).

Setting up a new Contract Package

To setup a new Contract Package, navigate to Manage > Contract Packages:

1. Ensure you have the correct Project selected (refer to your standard Project Filter on the top right hand side of the screen)

2. Select + Contract Package - this will open the new Contract Package setup screen

3. Enter the Package Code e.g. C201

   • Note - this Code is important as will be used in the generation of the Document Number, and/or in various Filters and Inquiries through Scenario.

4. Select Major Type

5. Select Discipline

   • This is optional, but recommended.

   • Where a Package spans multiple disciplines, recommended to choose the primary/main discipline.

6. Enter the Scope of the Package

   • This should be a concise summary of the scope of the Package (1-2 sentences)

7. Select the Stage

   • It is recommended to set to Tender Preliminary initially.

   • There are various stages, and not all have to be used. But, the Stage does impact logic related to data and visibility. Please refer to the table below to understand how a Stage controls data entry.

8. Select the Save button to save the Contract Package.

Note: As soon as a Package is configured, this will be available in the Package drop down field through out Scenario for Users, and could be used in Document Numbers for the Package related documents.
